Vettori to mentor young England spinners

The England Performance Programme will go to Dubai for training in November, and former New Zealand spinner Daniel Vettori will be on hand to mentor England's young crop of slow bowlers.
The likes of Surrey allrounder Zafar Ansari, Sussex signing Danny Briggs, Tom Westley from Essex and Stephen Parry of Lancashire will benefit from Vettori's tutelage, as will Ravi Patel (Middlesex), Will Beer (Sussex) and Matt Carter (Nottinghamshire).
Vettori is not unfamiliar with coaching, as he is the head coach of the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL, and will lead the Brisbane Heat at this year's Big Bash League.
Peter Such, the ECB's lead spin bowling coach, said of the move: "Daniel has been one of the most successful and respected spinners in world cricket for almost two decades, so we are delighted to add his considerable experience to the England Performance Programme this winter.
"I am sure that the players will benefit from working with him for the 10 days that he is with the EPP in November."
Another spinner, leggie Scott Borthwick, will be going to New Zealand to play club cricket in Wellington, and will be coached by former Black Caps spinner Jeetan Patel.
