Pakistan complete comfortable series whitewash

Pakistan completed a three-nil series whitewash over the West Indies in the T20 series as they beat the visitors by eight wickets in the final game in Karachi on Tuesday.

Chasing a target of 154, Pakistan got off to a quick start as openers Fakhar Zaman (40) and Babar Azam put on 61 in 5.2 overs.

Azam, who scored 97 not out in the previous game, was out for 51 in the 13th over.

Hussain Talat (31 not out) and Asif Ali (25 not out) saw the home team over the line with more than three overs to spare.

Earlier, the Windies could only muster 153/6 in their 20 overs with Chadwick Walton top-scoring with 51 while veteran Marlon Samuels contributed a 25-ball 31.

The innings was given a late boost as Denesh Ramdin struck an unbeaten 42 off just 18 balls but the total was never going to be enough against the hosts.

Pakistan leg-spinner Shadab Khan was the pick of the bowlers with 2-27 in four overs.
