SWD Cricket appoints Daniel Seha as Assistant and Strength & Conditioning Coach

South Western Districts Cricket recently announced the appointment of Daniel Seha as the assistant- and strength and conditioning coach for the SWD senior team.
This appointment was made after Cricket South Africa adopted a resolution to enhance Senior Provincial (SP) Cricket and availed funding to extend the support staff of each Senior Provincial team to assist in achieving the objectives of the Player Performance Plan (PPP).
The 23-year-old Seha who matriculated at St Pauls College in Windhoek completed a BSc Honours High Performance Sport degree at the University of Stellenbosch in addition to a BA Sport Science degree.
His working experience includes consultancy work with the Namibian Senior, Women and U/19 cricket teams, working as intern at the Department of Sport Science at Maties within the cricket department as strength and conditioning coach and sport scientist at Ajax Cape Town Football club and the Victorians hockey team strength and conditioning coach.
“Daniel will be responsible for all strength and conditioning programs within our cricket pipeline”, said Albertus Kennedy – the Chief Executive Officer.
“He will also implement team and individual strength and conditioning protocols in line with Cricket SA benchmarks and to assist in the successful implementation of the Player Performance plan with the use of all information and technology available to attain provincial benchmarks.”
“Daniel showed very strong knowledge in the sport science field and we are looking forward to his contribution towards the strength and conditioning program of our elite players in the province”, said SWD President, Mr Rudy Claassen.
