Sri Lanka vs. Bangladesh Betting Odds
The top-rated cricket betting sites for the UK have yet to release odds on Sri Lanka’s tour of Bangladesh, but given their recent run of form, the visitors are expected to be favoured in most of the T20 and ODI meetings.
Mahmudullah Returns for Bangladesh
Mahmudullah’s return to the T20I team after a prolonged sabbatical is a notable feature of the roster announcement. His expertise will enhance the team’s worth. Anamul Haque and Mohammad Naim have secured their positions in the T20I team due to their outstanding performances in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
Many players have been included for both T20I and ODI teams. Despite being the most experienced player on the team, Mushfiqur Rahim was selected for the ODI team but not included in the T20I squad.

On Route to the T20 World Cup
Bangladesh just achieved their first victory on New Zealand soil, culminating in a 1-1 series tie. They are now preparing for their next test. Sri Lanka recently lost to Afghanistan in the final match by three runs but won 2-1 overall in a one-off test at Sinhalese Sports Club, Colombo.
Wanindu Hasaranga presently leads the T20 team as a talented spin-bowling all-rounder. In the first two T20 matches, he has shown leadership with his performance with the ball. He has also contributed significantly with his batting, playing at a higher position in the batting order than usual in international matches. Both previous captains, Angelo Mathews and Dasun Shanaka, provided medium-pace bowling and lower-order runs. However, Sri Lanka’s main strength rests in its frontline bowlers.
In addition to the three all-rounders already listed, Sri Lanka has a top-tier white-ball spinner in Mahesh Theekshana. Apart from him, they have two sling bowlers similar to Lasith Malinga in Matheesha Pathirana and Nuwan Thushara. Combine the rapid speed of Dushmantha Chameera with the towering left-arm skills of Binura Fernando, and you have one of the most intriguing bowling assaults globally. If Sri Lanka can maintain the fitness of all players, including Hasaranga, they might potentially cause some surprises in the T20 World Cup in June.
