Holder urges Windies to show more fight

West Indies captain Jason Holder has called on to team to show some fight after they were thrashed in the first Test against England at Edgbaston.
Holder’s men lost 19 wickets in one day to go down by an innings and 209 runs in the first ever day/night Test to be played in the UK.
The match in Birmingham only lasted for three days, and nights, with pundits and former players predicting the home team will walk the three-match series.
Holder said after the match: “It’s obviously very disappointing, we didn’t show enough fight. We were totally outplayed.”
The gulf in class between the two sides was evident from the first innings as England’s Alastair Cook, with more than 11 000 Test runs, struck a double-century while experienced seamers James Anderson and Stuart Broad ran through the Windies batting order.

The Windies skipper said his young side will need to regroup quickly as the second Test starts at Headingley on Friday.
Holder continued: “We’ve got to just believe, we have a few days off now, we have to use them wisely.
“We’ll sit and talk, and formulate some plans about how we are going to go, but it’s not impossible [to come back]. It’s just one game, the series is not lost, we have to believe, regroup, and come back strongly.
“There’s inexperience in the side but we have to be professional and get over that.”
