Australian fast bowler has become the latest bowler to take a five-wicket haul in the Indian Premier League.

He did this for the Delhi Capitals against the Sunrisers Hyderabad during the 2025 IPL.

Which other overseas players have taken five-fors in the IPL?

1. Mitchell Starc

The Australia left-arm seamer took five for 35 for the Delhi Capitals against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam during the 2025 IPL.

2. Alzarri Joseph

The big West Indian took six for 12 for the Mumbai Indians against the Rajasthan Royals in Hyderabad during the 2019 IPL.

3. Sohail Tanvir

The Pakistan left-arm seamer completed six for 14 for the Rajasthan Royals against the Chennai Super Kings in Jaipur in the first IPL in 2008.

4. Adam Zampa

The Australia leg-spinner took six for 19 for the Rising Pune Super Giants against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Visakhapatnam during the IPL in 2016.

The England fast bowler was playing for the Lucknow Super Giants in the 2023 IPL, when he took five for 14 against the Delhi Capitals in Lucknow.

7. Andre Russell

The West Indies all-rounder was playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders during the 2021 IPL, when he completed five for 15 against the Mumbai Indians in Chennai.

8. James Faulkner

The Australia seamer has two five-wicket hauls in the IPL. Both came during the 2013 edition for the Rajasthan Royals. This five for 16 was against the Sunrisers Hyderabad in Hyderabad.

9. Andrew Tye

The Australia seamer took his five for 17 for the Gujarat Lions against the Lucknow Super Giants in Rajkot during the 2017 IPL. Tye was excellent at mixing his pace.

10. Wanindu Hasaranga

The Sri Lanka leg-spinner was with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the 2022 IPL and took five for 18 against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

11. Sunil Narine

The West Indies spinner took five for 19 for the Kolktata Knights Riders against the Punjab Kings at Eden Gardens during the 2012 IPL. An outstanding performance, for sure.

12. James Faulkner

Here’s Faulkner’s second five-for during the 2012 IPL. This one was against the Sunrisers Hyderabad again – in Jaipur this time. He bowled some clever slower balls.

13. Dimitri Mascarenhas

The England seamer was involved in the 2012 IPL and took five for 25 for the Punjab Kings against the Pune Warriors in Mohali. Nifty figures, indeed.
