The top 22 fastest 100s in the IPL – Priyansh Arya’s 39-ball record is there to break

Sunrisers Hyderabad batter Ishan Kishan hit one of the fastest centuries in the Indian Premier League in March 2025.

The IPL has produced several quick 100s since the tournament started in 2008.

1. Chris Gayle – 30-ball IPL century

The West Indies left-hander hit an IPL 100 off 30 balls for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Pune Warriors in Bangalore during the 2013 IPL.

2. Yusuf Pathan – 37-ball IPL century

The India all-rounder hit an IPL 100 from 37 deliveries for the Rajasthan Royals against the Mumbai Indians in Mumbai during the 2010 IPL.

3. David Miller – 38-ball IPL century

The South Africa left-hander was playing for the Punjab Kings against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in the IPL in 2013, when he hit a century from 38 balls.

4. Priyansh Arya – 39-ball IPL century

Arya did this for the Punjab Kings against the Chennai Super Kings during the 2025 Indian Premier League. He ended with 103 from 42 deliveries, including seven fours and nine sixes, during 61 minutes at the crease.

5. Travis Head – 39-ball IPL century

The Australia batter was with Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Royal Challengers Bangalore when he reached a ton from 39 balls in Bangalore in the 2024 IPL.

6. Will Jacks – 41-ball IPL century

The England all-rounder was playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Gujarat Titans during the 2024 IPL when his century arrived from 41 balls.

7. Adam Gilchrist – 42-ball IPL century

The Australia star was with the Deccan Chargers against the Mumbai Indians during the inaugural IPL tournament in 2008 when he hit a 42-ball ton in Mumbai.

8. AB de Villiers – 43-ball IPL century

The South Africa right-hander was batting for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against Gujarat Lions in Bangalore when he collected a century from 43 balls in the 2016 IPL.

9. David Warner – 43-ball IPL century

The Australia left-hander, who has the most runs in the history of the IPL among overseas players, hit a 43-ball ton for the Sunrisers Hyderabad against the Kolkata Knight Riders in Hyderabad in 2017.

10. Sanath Jayasuriya – 45-ball IPL century

The Sri Lanka batter was with the Mumbai Indians in the inaugural IPL in 2008 and hit a century from 45 balls against the Chennai Super Kings in Mumbai.

11. Mayank Agarwal – 45-ball IPL century

The India batter was playing for the Punjab Kings against the Rajasthan Royals during the Indian Premier League in 2020 and hit a century against 45 deliveries.

12. Jonny Bairstow – 45-ball IPL century

Bairstow is the only England player on this list. Bairstow hit a 45-ball century for the Punjab Kings against the Kolata Knight Riders during the 2024 IPL.

13. Ishan Kishan – 45-ball IPL century

The India batter is the latest player on this list after hitting the first century of the 2025 Indian Premier League. He did it for SRH against the Rajasthan Royals from 45 balls.

14. Murali Vijay – 46-ball IPL century

The Chennai Super Kings opener was impressive against the Rajasthan Royals during the 2010 Indian Premier League. He hit a 46-ball century in Chennai.

15. Chris Gayle – 46-ball IPL century

The West Indies big-hitter has three centuries on this list. This one came from 46 balls for the Royal Challengers Bangalore against the Punjab Kings in Bangalore in 2011.

16. Chris Gayle – 46-ball IPL century

Four years later, Gayle was still with the Royal Challengers Bangalore in Bangalore. Again, the opposition were the Punjab Kings and again the 100 came off 46 deliveries.

17. Andrew Symonds – 47-ball IPL century

Here is another Australian for the Deccan Chargers. Symonds collected his against the Rajasthan Royals from 47 balls. Like Gilchrist’s, his was in the first ever IPL in 2008.

18. AB de Villiers – 47-ball IPL century

The big-hitting former Proteas star appears on this list for the second time. This 100 came in the 2015 edition of the tournament, for the Royal Challengers Bangalore again, against the Mumbai Indians, in Mumbai.

19. Virat Kohli – 47-ball IPL century

The India talisman has a record eight Indian Premier League centuries, but only one of them is among the fastest hundreds in the IPL. In 2016, he hit a ton from 47 balls for RCB against PK.

20. Cameron Green – 47-ball IPL century

The Australia all-rounder was largely superb for the Mumbai Indians in the IPL in 2023 and hit a 47-ball hundred against the Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

21. Virender Sehwag – 48-ball IPL century

The India batter struck a century from 48 balls for the Delhi Capitals against the Deccan Chargers during the 2011 Indian Premier League. This was Deccan’s second-last season in the tournament.

22. Quinton de Kock – 48-ball IPL century

De Kock has played for multiple IPL teams since, but in 2016 he was with the Delhi Capitals and hit a century from 48 balls against the Royal Challengers in Bangalore.
