They have never won the IPL, but they have been in the final on three occasions. One of the original teams in franchise cricket’s biggest tournament, the Royal Challengers Bengaluru has been home to some of cricket’s all-time greatest players.

In all, seven of their players have scored more than 1000 runs for the franchise, and a look at the names on the list really is a who’s who of white-ball cricket royalty.

3. Chris Gayle – 3,420 runs from 91 IPL matches for RCB at an average of 43.29

When it comes to T20 cricket, few names are as feared as Chris Gayle from the West Indies. The ‘Universe Boss’ turned RCB into a nearly unstoppable force with his explosive batting at the top of the order.

He holds the record for the highest individual score in IPL history—175*—which came in an RCB jersey.
