Rashid Khan to widen gap at top of Gujarat Titans’ most prolific bowlers list during 2025 IPL

They have only been a part of the IPL for three seasons, but it has been an extremely eventful time for the Gujarat Titans. They won the title in their debut season in 2022 and were runners-up in 2023.
The most recent season, 2024, was slightly less successful as they finished eighth out of ten with five wins and seven losses. Over the course of their short history, several excellent players have turned out for the Ahmedabad-based team, but only four players have managed to take more than 20 wickets.
Let’s take a moment to look at the top-performing bowlers in the history of the franchise.
4. Noor Ahmad – 24 wickets from 23 IPL matches for GT at an average of 27.45
Young Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad added variety to the Titans’ spin attack with his left-arm wrist spin. Despite his age and limited experience, Noor showcased immense potential and maturity, finishing with 24 wickets in 23 games.
His average of 27.45 reflects his ability to hold his own against top-quality opposition. Noor’s variations and ability to bowl in different phases of the game provided Gujarat with an additional spin option alongside Rashid Khan, giving them flexibility in their bowling combinations.
Noor will be playing for the Chennai Super Kings in 2025, so no chance to increase his numbers for GT in the new season.
3. Mohit Sharma – 40 wickets from 26 IPL matches for GT at an average of 19.65
A surprise package for the Titans, Mohit Sharma enjoyed a remarkable resurgence with the team. Known for his clever variations and calm demeanour under pressure, Mohit excelled in his role, especially in the death overs.
In just 26 games, he claimed 40 wickets at an impressive average of 19.65 and an outstanding strike rate of 12.47 making him one of the most efficient bowlers in the league.
His slower deliveries and changeups often foxed the batters, and his ability to pick up wickets in clusters made him a vital asset in Gujarat’s bowling arsenal. Mohit will be playing for the Delhi Capitals in 2025.

His knack for early breakthroughs, coupled with his ability to bowl accurate yorkers at the death, has often turned games in Gujarat’s favour. Shami was especially pivotal in their title-winning campaign, where his sharp seam movement and control made life difficult for opposing batters. In 2025 he will be playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
1. Rashid Khan – 56 wickets from 45 IPL matches for GT at an average of 23.92
Rashid Khan has been the standout bowler for Gujarat Titans since their inception. The Afghan leg-spinner, known for his pinpoint accuracy and ability to bowl economical spells, has consistently delivered for the team.
Rashid’s 56 wickets in 45 games underline his status as the franchise’s leading wicket-taker. Whether it’s breaking crucial partnerships or tightening the screws in the middle overs, Rashid has been the go-to man. His ability to outthink batters and maintain pressure has made him an indispensable part of the Titans’ bowling attack.
It is no surprise that Rashid Khan is regarded as one of the best white-ball bowlers in the game at the moment. Fresh from leading MI Cape Town to the SA20 title at the start of the year, he will be back in 2025 to weave more magic for the Ahmedabad side.
