Allrounder Perera retires from Test cricket

Sri Lanka allrounder Thisara Perera has quit Test cricket as wants to concentrate on cementing his place in the national side for the limited-overs formats.
The 26 year-old Perera has represented the Asian side in six games in the longest format, the last of which came against Pakistan in 2012, but is a regular member of the ODI and T20I squads.
The right-arm seamer took 11 wickets at an average of 59.36 while he scored 203 runs, including one fifty, in Test cricket.
The left-handed batsman has already sent his retirement letter to the Sri Lanka Cricket board, which has so far not commented on the decision.
Sri Lanka's next assignment in Test cricket will be in May when they will be touring England to play three Tests, which will then be followed by seven ODIs, including two against Ireland.
Perera is expected to be in his national side's squad for the World T20 in March.
