Ashwin ruled out for next two CSK games

The Chennai Super Kings will be without senior spinner Ravi Ashwin for their next two matches as he has injured his hand, splitting the webbing between his fingers.

Ashwin picked up the injury while playing against the Kolkata Knight Riders on Tuesday, and was taken to hospital for stitches.

Super Kings' team manager Russell Radhakrishnan said on Cricinfo: "Ashwin has a split in his middle finger. We do not know how many stitches he will require.

"He has been taken to the hospital. The team has decided not to take Ashwin for the next two matches."

He will miss games against Kolkata and the Sunrisers Hyderabad, with the potential of a few more, depending on his recovery.
