The uncapped Sean Abbott has been named in Australia's squad for next month's ODI series against Pakistan in the United Arab Emirates.
Burgeoning all-rounder Abbott epitomised plenty of talent with the bat and ball in the National Performance Squad's recent limited-overs tri-series against South Africa A and India A.
Batsman David Warner, meanwhile, has returned to the touring party after missing the tour of Harare recently. Spinners Steven Smith and Nathan Lyon have been retained.
"Sean is a bright young cricketer and gets his opportunity in the short-form matches. He has shown great improvement in all forms of the game with New South Wales. His recent performances in Darwin with the National Performance Squad were also outstanding," said national selector Rod Marsh.
The three-ODI series will get underway at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 7 October – and will be preceded by a one-off Twenty20 International and followed by two Tests.
ODI squad: David Warner, Aaron Finch, Shane Watson, Michael Clarke (captain), George Bailey, Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Glenn Maxwell, Brad Haddin, James Faulkner, Sean Abbott, Mitchell Johnson, Mitchell Starc, Nathan Lyon.
