Babar and Sohail named in T20I squad

The uncapped Sharjeel Khan, spinner Zulfiqar Babar and batsman Haris Sohail have been named in Pakistan's squad for this month's one-off Twenty20 International against Afghanistan and two-match series against Sri Lanka.

Opener Nasir Jamshed, spinner Abdur Rehman and all-rounders Abdul Razzaq, Shoaib Malik have been ommitted. Razzaq and Malik are nursing respective hamstring and finger injuries.
Batsman Khan has earned a call-up and Sohail a recall on the back of solid stretches of form at domestic level for Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited recently. Babar, meanwhile, has recovered from a finger injury.
All-rounder Bilawal Bhatti, leg-spinner Shahid Afridi and fast bowler Anwar Ali have been retained, while batsman Mohammad Hafeez has kept the captaincy in the United Arab Emirates.
Pakistan and Afghanistan will meet at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on 8 December. The Dubai International Cricket Stadium will host the Pakistanis and Sri Lankans on 11 and 13 December.
