England batsman Gary Ballance is getting frustrated with the run of 10 winless Tests his side is enduring, saying they're failing to take advantage of good positions.

England trail India one-nil in the five-match series, having lost the second Test at Lord's after being presented with a tailor-made deck. Ballance, who scored a century to add to his impressive for, found this annoying.

The Zimbabwe-born batsman, who has two tons and two 70s in his last four Tests, told ecb.co.uk: "It was obviously disappointing to lose at Lord's.

"We had opportunities, we are playing decent cricket, we're not playing bad cricket. We're getting ourselves in positions to win games but not quite finishing them off which is a bit frustrating.

"Guys are doing well and we can take a bit of confidence. We know we've just got to improve on those important sessions."

He was conflicted about Matt Prior's exit from the side due to injury, and Jos Buttler's call for the third Test, saying: "Obviously Matt has done a great job over the years and he has won loads of games for England so it's a tough one.

"Then again Jos has won loads of games for England in the limited overs formats. He'll bring that youth into it and he's obviously a very exciting player and he can win you games.

"They are both very good cricketers and I'm sure England will be good for it."
