Bangladesh have included fast bowler Mashrafe Mortaza in their ODI squad to face New Zealand, a surprising inclusion given he last played a match for the Tigers in December last year.

Mortaza joined Anamul Haque and Naeem Islam in the 15-man squad for the first two of three matches, while Jahurul Islam was dropped. Jahurul last played an ODI in May, against Zimbabwe, and was out for a duck.

Mortaza, who has 128 ODI caps, has been in good form for domestic side Mohammedan recently, taking 11 wickets in six games, prompting his recall. His last ODI, against the West Indies, saw him take one for 54 in 10 overs.
