Bilal Asif added to Pakistan Test squad

Pakistan have included Bilal Asif to their squad for the second Test against England despite the spinner being in the process of having his bowling action reviewed.

Bilal will join the Pakistan squad, who are favourites for the upcoming Test, after undergoing an examination in Chennai on Monday but he is still permitted to bowl until the results of the tests are known.

The 30 year-old was reported by the umpires after the third ODI against Zimbabwe earlier this month and is eligible for the second Test against England, starting on Thursday.

Pakistan only fielded one spinner in the drawn first Test in Abu Dhabi after Yasir Shah pulled out due to a back injury, with captain Misbah-ul-Haq complaining about the lack of spin cover.

Yasir is expected to be fit for the second Test and should join Zulfiqar Babar in the starting team meaning one of the three seamers will miss out.

After the second Test the teams will move to Sharjah for the third and final Test while they will also tackle each other in four ODIs and three T20s. Head on over to Paddy Power to back your favourite for the upcoming matches.
