Bodi submits his plea in fixing case

According his lawyer, Gulam Bodi has submitted his plea to Cricket South Africa (CSA) after being charged with contriving to fix, or otherwise improperly influence games in the domestic T20 tournament.

By making a plea, Bodi, who played in two ODIs and one T20I for the Proteas, has admitted guilt to at least some of the allegations that has been leveled against him.

Ayoob Kaka, Bodi's lawyer, told Cricinfo: "We are waiting to see if they accept it, if not it will go to a tribunal."

CSA will have to take any evidence to the South African police services as match-fixing and spot-fixing in sport is a crime in the country.

The Board released a statement last week saying that Bodi has been charged and was cooperating with anti-corruption officials.

A case is also being prepared against several players in the domestic teams in connection with Bodi's incidents.
