Bravo nearing return from injury

All-rounder Dwayne Bravo is confident of being fully fit for the West Indies' series against New Zealand later this year.
All-rounder Dwayne Bravo is confident of being fully fit for the West Indies' series against New Zealand later this year.
Bravo is currently sidelined by a shoulder injury sustained during the Chennai Super Kings' 2014 Indian Premier League fixture.
"I am not ready to play any cricket at the moment but I am getting closer. I would say I am about 80 percent fit, but there is still some work to be done with my shoulder," said Bravo.
"I am feeling good. The range of motion is back again, so there are a lot of positive signs, so I look forward to the camp coming up."
The 30-year-old Bravo has not played Test match cricket since December 2010 – but is pushing for a recall on the back of fine stretch of form at limited-overs level.
The Windies and Black Caps will meet for three Tests – in Jamaica, Trinidad and Guyana – and two Twenty20 Internationals – in Dominica – between 8 June and 6 July.
"I leave Thursday to join the West Indies team in the camp and I look forward to challenging for a place and get back to playing cricket again," he added.
"This week I will definitely be back in the nets but I have to take it slowly. It is an injury that I don't think I can rush. I have to make sure it heals properly and then come back when it is the right time."
