Buttler ruled out of Black Caps T20

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the T20 international against New Zealand that takes place at Old Trafford on Tuesday.

Buttler split the webbing on his left hand while preparing for Saturday's fifth ODI against the Black Caps and did not take part in the match.

While he has been ruled out of the lone T20, The ECB said the 24 year-old is not in anyway doubtful for the first Ashes Test against Australia, which starts on 8 July.

The ECB said on their twitter feed: "Jos Buttler has been ruled out of the NatWest IT20 against New Zealand with the hand injury that forced him to miss the current ODI.

"There are no concerns regarding Buttler's availability for the Investec Ashes. A decision on a replacement for the T20 will be made following (Saturday's) ODI."
