Chigumbura ruled out of Ireland clash

Zimbabwe will be led by former skipper Brendan Taylor when they take on Ireland at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart on Saturday, after captain Elton Chigumbura was ruled out with a thigh injury.
Chigumbura picked up the quadricep tear when he was fielding against Pakistan, tripping while chasing a shot by Misbah and falling heavily on his knee, damaging his thigh. He did come out to bat and made 35 runs in the defeat.
A statement from Zimbabwe Cricket read: "A MRI scan showed that Chigumbura suffered a third grade tear of his quadriceps muscle — a large muscle group on the front of the thigh.
"Because of the severity of the injury, Chigumbura will not be available for selection for Zimbabwe's fifth Group B match, which is against Ireland at the Bellerive Oval in Hobart this Saturday."
Zimbabwe need to win the match to stay in contention for a place in the quarter finals.
