South Africa will be without opening batsman Graeme Smith for the third and final ODI against Pakistan on Saturday as he has been granted compassionate leave following the passing of his grandmother earlier in the week.

Titans batsman Henry Davids has been called up to replace Smith following some good form domestically, despite being dropped from the T20 squad earlier in the month.

Cricket South Africa selection convenor, Andrew Hudson said: "Henry (Davids) has performed for us in the T20 format and this is another opportunity for him to make a contribution in the ODI squad.

"He had a successful run in the Momentum One-Day Cup and this is just reward for his consistent performances."

Pakistan have already won the series, prompting CSA to rest Jacques Kallis and Dale Steyn for the dead rubber to allow them to recover from slight niggles.
