De Villiers: We are the best team in the tournament

Despite a calamitous defeat to Pakistan the last time they played, South Africa skipper AB de Villiers still believes that his team is the best at the World Cup currently underway in Australia and New Zealand.
De Villiers was speaking ahead of the Proteas' final Pool B match against the UAE which takes place in Wellington on Thursday. South Africa should comfortably beat the Associate side to wrap up second place in the group behind India.
The Proteas have lost two matches in the tournament so far, to India and Pakistan, and both while they chased down targets. It should be a concern to the team management as they have a poor record while chasing away from home. The skipper does not seem fazed by it.
De Villiers said: "I 100% believe we are the best team in the tournament here. Those two losses in the group stage did hurt us a bit but we are past that now.
"We know where we could have won those games and we weren't that far off. We know we are very close… three games away from taking that World Cup home.
"The most important game is tomorrow but we know we are not far off so it's important to be positive and still believe we are the best."
