Dev: Tigers producing better pacemen than India

India's legendary allrounder Kapil Dev is impressed with Bangladesh's fast bowlers, saying they have better pacemen than his own countrymen.
The Tigers ended their World T20 campaign in the Super 10 stage, finishing last in a group that consisted of Australia, Pakistan, New Zealand and hosts India, but Kapil Dev praised the Asian side for producing quick bowlers.
Younger bowlers like Mustafizur Rahman, Al-Amin Hossain and Taskin Ahmed have stepped up over the last year while the experienced Mashrafe Mortaza has provided a steady hand.
Kapil Dev told the BBC in an interview: "Bangladesh have some excellent athletes in their team; all they need is to mature a bit.
"What seems most amazing to me about Bangladesh is their pace department. They were a totally spin dependent team around ten years ago; but look at their pitches in the just completed Asia Cup – their curators had prepared seaming tracks and their pacers were ruling throughout the tournament.
"Pacers are their strength and they have a better pace attack than India, you have to admit and respect that. It looks incredible to me – how they are booming with confidence. They have some great athletes in the team."
