Dhawan: You can’t afford to take any side lightly

2015 World Cup

India opening batsman Shikhar Dhawan says they will not treat the UAE any differently to other side's they have faced before in international cricket, ahead of the teams' World Cup match in Perth on Saturday.

Dhawan, who has been the in-form India batsman at the global showpiece so far, feels that his team need to keep the momentum that they have gained after consecutive victories over Pakistan and South Africa.

The left-handed batsman said: "We need to keep the momentum going. We will approach the match the same way as we have done for other games and play it as we have been playing all along. We will play with the same fighting spirit and keep the same intensity.
"You can't afford to take any side lightly at the international level. The key is to stay calm and work hard. Look, it is very natural that your confidence increases when you play two good back-to back knocks.
"I have now got used to the bounce and enjoy playing my shots."
