Dhoni: My name keeps popping up

India ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni has for the first time expressed his frustration that his name keeps being mentioned in the investigation about alleged spot-fixing by IPL franchise Chennai Super Kings officials.
Dhoni, who is the captain of the Chennai Super Kings, was questioned by investigators about if an individual, Gurunath Meiyappan, was a team official at the franchise or just a fan hanging around the team.
The 33 year-old wicketkeeper batsman has never previously spoken about the case, or any other controversies in Indian cricket, but broke his silence on the eve of India's ODI against Australia in Sydney, and sounded very frustrated.
He said: "I know one thing, irrespective of what is there, when it comes to Indian cricket, my name keeps popping up. "This [issue] has been settled, [but] something new will pop up.
"It keeps popping up. I am quite used to it. If there is nothing, some speculative story comes up, big or small. I have to keep dealing with all these things. It is [just] the end of one story, something else may start in a couple of days' time, and you can monitor it."
The investigation so far has seen the Supreme Court in India bar BCCI President-in-exile N Srinivasan from contesting the Board's Presidential elections.
The investigation continues…
