Dhoni, Rahman fined for mid-pitch clash

India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Bangladesh youngster Mustafizur Rahman have both found themselves out of pocket following their collision in the middle during the first ODI in Mirpur on Thursday.

The players were both fined 75 percent of their match fees for smashing into each other during the game that the Tigers eventually won. Rahman, on debut at age 19, seemed to have little regard for his storied opponent.

Rahman ended up taking five wickets, but made himself unpopular with the Indians when he ran into opener Rohit Sharma earlier in the innings. He made a habit of not getting out of the batsmen's way, or even putting himself in their path.

Dhoni was having none of it though, and stayed his course while making a run, going to far as to cross the line by showing the bowler out of the way with his forearm. The paceman left the field for a few minutes.

Neither player will miss the next match on Sunday though.
