ECB, SLC come to agreement over Senanayake

The England and Wales Cricket Board and Sri Lanka Cricket have reached a cordial agreement over the bowling action of spinner Sachithra Senanayake.
The England and Wales Cricket Board and Sri Lanka Cricket have reached a cordial agreement over the bowling action of spinner Sachithra Senanayake.
The International Cricket Council are currently investigating Senanayake for a suspect bowling action. Meanwhile, he was not named in the squad for the ongoing Test series.
The Sri Lankan, too, caused a potential rift between the nations by controversially running out batsman Jos Buttler at the non-striker's end during this month's ODI series.
"The matter has been resolved amicably. There is no further comment," said Sri Lanka team manager Michael de Zoysa.
English Test captain Alastair Cook had earlier fielded questions on the contentious subject. Senanayake was the tourists' most prolific bowler in the five-match affair, snaring nine wickets in a three-two victory.
"We as players have no power to report anyone. It's directly down to the umpires and the match referee. I know that for a fact. So we can't say anything, it's down to the ICC and the umpires on the day," said Cook.
"But I think everyone saw his action and I think concerns were raised – you only had to watch television and see that. Concerns were raised just by watching the television."
