England have named an unchanged squad for the rest of the ODI series against Sri Lanka, keeping the players that took a series lead in the third game.

With skipper Alastair Cook declared fit ahead of the third game, which England won by 10 wickets to take a two-one lead, there was no need to retain Alex Hales.

The opener was brought in as cover for Cook, but did not play and was sent back to Nottinghamshire, giving struggling Michael Carberry another potential chance to endear himself to fans calling for Hales.

Squad: Alastair Cook (capt), James Anderson, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Ravi Bopara, Tim Bresnan, Jos Buttler, Michael Carberry, Harry Gurney, Chris Jordan, Eoin Morgan, Joe Root, James Tredwell, Chris Woakes
