Eoin Morgan limps off as Middlesex claim Vitality Blast victory over Glamorgan

England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan limped off with an injury as Middlesex made it three wins from three in the Vitality Blast with a four-wicket win over Glamorgan.

Morgan went off while fielding and did not come out to bat as Middlesex reached their victory target with an over to spare, Joe Cracknell making 47 and Max Holden contributing 41 from 22 balls.

Left-arm spinner Thilan Walallawita had earlier returned career-best figures of three for 18 and Toby Roland-Jones cleaned up the tail with four for 22 as Glamorgan were bowled out for 168 off the last ball of their innings.

A century partnership between Rishi Patel and Colin Ackermann led Leicestershire to a shock 31-run over Yorkshire at Headingley.

The pair put on 109 for the fifth wicket – Patel making 57 and Ackermann 56 before both falling to Jordan Thompson – as the Foxes fought back from a tricky start to set Yorkshire 189 to win

Chasing 159 to win, the Bears were wobbling at 36 for four before Benjamin seized control with 68 not out from 36 balls in a stand of 85 with Adam Hose (29).

In reply, Somerset breezed to a revised target of 144 with 3.2 overs to spare, Rossouw blitzing 67 off 29 balls with seven sixes, and receiving strong support from Will Smeed, who smashed 58 from 30 deliveries.
