Faulkner ‘hungry’ to get back into Oz kit

Australia all-rounder James Faulkner is excited to be part of the ODI side to face India this month, and says he eager to get back in the middle after nearly a year out of the side.
The Finisher, as he's known, last played for his country at the World Cup final in March last year, but he was suspended for drink driving while playing county cricket, and then got injured, so has not had a chance to come back.
Faulkner said on the CA website of the legal incident: "That was as hungry as I've (ever) got to get back into a team, so that was disappointing and now I've had to wait until the next series.
"There's probably no bigger nation to play against than India and I know last time we were over there it was a really good contest so there's no reason why this one won't be.
"I'm looking forward to putting the strip back on and playing for my country."
Faulkner and Mitchell Marsh are the main all-rounders in the squad, with Shane Watson left out due to poor form. Faulkner is one of only a few players left in the side that played in the final.
