Finch makes comeback from injury with Yorkshire

Australia batsman Aaron Finch will make his return to cricket this week after being sidelined for seven weeks with a hamstring injury he picked in the IPL.

Finch, who was injured playing for the Mumbai Indians on 14 April, will make his comeback playing in two T20 matches for Yorkshire's second XI on Thursday before playing for the county in the Natwest T20 Blast on Sunday.

The Australia T20 captain represented Yorkshire in all three formats last season and says he missed playing for the County champions.

The 28 year-old Finch said: "I'm in a good place and can't wait to help the side out. I've had a couple of nets and I'm feeling good.

"I will play the two T20 matches arranged at Barnsley on Thursday and I'm hoping I can hit the ground running. It is great to be back at Yorkshire. I've missed being with the boys.

"This is a great club that breeds winners. The environment is very positive and hopefully my contributions with the bat will help the club continue to prosper."
