Finn added to England Test squad for SA tour

England have added fast bowler Steven Finn to their Test squad for the upcoming four-match series away to South Africa after the paceman made an impressive return from injury for the England Lions in a T20 series against Pakistan in Dubai.
The lanky bowler was not included in the original 16-member squad to tour South Africa because of a stress-related injury to his foot.
The 26 year-old missed the recent three-match Test series against Pakistan in the UAE but was a top performer when called upon for England's victorious Ashes campaign earlier this year.
The Middlesex bowler played in two of the three T20s for the England Lions against their Pakistan counterparts, recording figures of three for 22 and one for 30, and impressed the selectors enough to be summoned for the Test side.
Finn said: "I've been really pleased with the way things have gone with the Lions. I've bowled my overs and my foot has come through fine. I'm excited by the prospect of linking up with the team out in South Africa."
There will now be plenty of competition for the position of third seamer in the Three Lions' Test team with Mark Footitt, Chris Woakes and Chris Jordan already on tour.
Together with Finn, those four players will most likely compete for one spot to see who will join James Anderson and Stuart Broad in the pace attack for the first Test, which starts on Boxing Day in Durban.
