Flintoff comeback delayed

Former England captain Andrew Flintoff's return to competitive cricket has been delayed.
Former England captain Andrew Flintoff's return to competitive cricket has been delayed.
Last week saw Lancashire confirm the presence of the veteran all-rounder, who retired from international competition in 2010, in the squad for the remainder of this year's T20 Blast campaign.
He has, however, been excluded from contention for Friday's fixture against the Yorkshire Vikings at Old Trafford in Manchester.
"He is fiercely determined, an incredibly determined character – and he has set himself a challenge to see if he can get back to playing at the level he used to," coach Mark Chilton told Sky Sports.
"Knowing him as I do, I wouldn't put it past him. I think he's probably got to a stage where he thinks 'I'm at an age now where, if I don't do it now, the time has probably gone.'"
The stalwart Flintoff scored more than 7,000 runs and snared exactly 400 wickets across 227 international fixtures between July 1998 and August 2009.
