Former India captain Sauruv Ganguly believes fast bowler Varun Aaron should be included in the side that takes on England in the fourth of five Tests, in Manchester this week.

"Manchester track is the fastest wicket in England. I think Varun Aaron should get a look-in," Ganguly told the media on Saturday.

Ishant Sharma bowled India to victory in the second Test of the series, but missed the third match with injury and is unlikely to be risked in this week's match at Old Trafford, which starts on August 7.

With Bhuvneshwar Kumar's participation in doubt as well after the swing bowler injured his knee during the third Test at Southampton, several changes are expected in the Indian attack.

Ganguly also believes the experienced Gautam Gambhir should open the batting again in place of out-form Shikhar Dhawan.

"India need some fresh heads at this stage. I'm not saying Gambhir would succeed but we need some fresh ideas. At this stage, it is anyone's series," Ganguly continued.
