The West Indies will be without opening batsman Chris Gayle for the two-match T20 series against New Zealand as he is being rested, while Kieron Pollard makes his international return after a year out.
Gayle played through the IPL with a back injury, added to a hamstring injury he had earlier in the year, so he is being rested after playing in the three-Test series. Darren Bravo has been added to the squad.
Dwayne Bravo is still not available due to the shoulder injury he picked up in the IPL, though Pollard, who has been out injured since last July, has been called up. He has played domestic cricket though.
There was no space for Marlon Samuels though, who was dropped after the second Test due to poor form. Ravi Rampaul and Johnson Charles are also absent from the side that played in Bangladesh.
The two matches will be played on 5 and 6 July.
Squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Samuel Badree, Christopher Barnwell, Darren Bravo, Sheldon Cottrell, Andre Fletcher, Sunil Narine, Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin, Andre Russell, Krishmar Santokie, Lendl Simmons, Dwayne Smith
