Gazi recalled to Tigers squad for SA T20’s
Bangladesh have recalled spinner Sohag Gazi to their squad for the two T20 internationals against South Africa, starting on Sunday.
Gazi, who last played an international for the Tigers in August last year, has been suspended for an illegal bowling action since October.
He has undergone all the remedial work and has done all his retests, which has now cleared. Gazi was joined in the squad by fellow spinner Jubair Hossain and paceman Rubel Hossain.
The trio replace batsman Mahmudullah, seam bowler Taskin Ahmed and allrounder Abul Hasan from the team that did duty against Pakistan in April.
Bangladesh's chief selector, Faruque Ahmed said: "We wanted a specialist offspinner so we picked Sohag Gazi. He has been out for a while now, but now he is back with a new action."
Following the T20 series the teams will take part in three ODI's and then two Test matches.
