Hafeez joins Dhaka Dynamites in BPL

Pakistan international Mohammad Hafeez has joined the Dhaka Dynamites in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) for the latter stages of the tournament.

The right-handed batsman had initially refused to play in this season's BPL as he was drafted in the same side as Pakistan colleague Moahammad Amir, who has just recently returned to cricket after being banned because of spot-fixing.

The 35 year-old Hafeez said he did not want to be in the same team with someone who has brought shame to his country.

Hafeez, who has played in 68 T20 internationals, has already joined up with the Dynamites squad and his first game in the tournament could be against Amir's side, the Chittagong Vikings, on Tuesday.

Moghees Sheikh, Hafeez's manager told ESPNcricinfo: "We have signed a deal with Mohammad Hafeez for Dhaka and he will play his first match on 8 December .

"They [Dhaka] were not sure (earlier) about players' selection but now they have realised that they require him as he can be handful on his day on Bangladesh pitches."
