Ahead of the their third ODI against Pakistan, Australian newcomer Peter Handscomb will have his chance to showcase his limited-overs talents on the international stage.

Coming in as a replacement for Mitchell Marsh, the 25-year-old will be hoping to replicate his Test form after scoring important runs against South Africa and Pakistan over the last couple months.

Baggie Greens coach Darren Lehmann praised Handscomb and has no doubt that he will adapt to the 50 overs format swiftly.

“He’s done really well, he’s been outstanding. So good reward for a good summer,” he said.

“Obviously we want four quality batters going at the top so he’ll get his chance there.

“He played a one-day style innings for us in the Sydney test, so he’s got all the shots and he’s quite innovative.”

Fast bowler Billy Stanlake is the other inclusion as he steps in for Mitchell Starc, who Lehmann decided to rest.
