Harris: Mitch enjoying Barmy Army banter
Former Australia fast bowler Ryan Harris says Mitchell Johnson has no problem with the England fans in the UK, and is handling the sledging from the sidelines much better than he had in 2009, when he bowled so poorly.
Johnson had a horror tour six years ago, going for extras and boundaries all over the show, and Harris says that while he reacted to that teasing, Johnson is much more mature now and finds it more funny than anything.
Harris, back in Australia, said on the CA website: "He's dealing with it really good over there at the moment.
"He copped a lot of it … in Cardiff (in the first Test) from the Barmy Army. They were everywhere, they were on the fence five metres away from him yelling out to him and trying to get to him and he was just playing with them.
"Going back there was a big Test for him but he's really enjoying the challenge. He's having a bit of fun.
"A lot of it was personal last time (in 2009) as it always is but he probably took it the wrong way. Now he's learnt to deal with it and have fun with it."
