Kuhn signs Kolpak deal with Kent
South Africa batsman Heino Khun has signed a Kolpak deal with English county side Kent, ruling him out of representing the Proteas.
The 33-year-old Kuhn played in all four Tests on the Proteas tour to England last year, scoring 113 runs at a paltry average of 14 with a top-score of 34.
The Titans batsman will join Kent on a Kolpak registration and will be available to the English county.
Kuhn has scored 9698 first-class runs in 142 games at an average of 43.99 with 23 centuries and 46 fifties to his name.
Th right-handed batsman said: “I’m delighted to get the opportunity to play county cricket and I’m looking forward to joining the Kent squad.
“I want to contribute positively to the team and bring my experience from winning trophies in South Africa.”
Kent director of cricket, Paul Downtown said: “We’re delighted to welcome a player of Heino’s quality and experience to the club.
“We believe Heino can complement our talented batsmen across the three formats and serve as a mentor to those coming through the ranks.”
