Hurt Irfan likely out of Sri Lanka Tests

Pakistan are set to be without fast bowler Mohammad Irfan for the Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on 31 December, after he was ruled out for six weeks with a hip fracture.
Irfan is already missing the T20 and ODI series to be played in the UAE this month, but further investigations into the injury he picked up against South Africa prompted doctors to advise him to sit out for six weeks.
Irfan fell during his delivery stride in the second T20 against the Proteas in Dubai, and thus missed the limited-overs tour to South Africa over the past two weeks, where Pakistan won the ODI series.
PBC director Intikhab Alam confirmed: "Irfan was perfectly all right when he played that game but unfortunately he fell on his hip bone and MRI scans showed it's a fracture,"
The seven-foot paceman has become an integral part of the attack since returning to the side in December last year. He made his debut in 2010 but only got another game two years later, and has since made his Test debut too.
