The West Indies will be without Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard for the ODI series against New Zealand later this month, as both have not recovered from injuries in time to visit the Antipodes.

The West Indies will be without Chris Gayle and Kieron Pollard for the ODI series against New Zealand later this month, as both have not recovered from injuries in time to visit the Antipodes.

Gayle was ruled out with a hamstring injury he picked up against India a few weeks ago, while Pollard was still recovering from a knee injury and did not travel to New Zealand for the Test series currently on the go.

The 15-man squad saw Kirk Edwards replacing Gayle, while Nikita Miller came into replace the dropped Veerasammy Permaul. Both Miller and Edwards last played an ODI for the Windies in 2011.

The three-match one-day series starts on 26 December in Auckland.
