‘It’s going to be a pressure game for all of us’

Sri Lanka captain Angelo Mathews has told his team to give Bangladesh the respect they deserve, ahead of the two sides World Cup Pool A match at the MCG on Thursday.
Mathews and his team come into the game on the back of a nervy win over Associate nation Afghanistan, and the skipper admits that have to get into a finals game mentality if they want to go deep in the tournament.
The Sri Lanka skipper said: "Bangladesh have performed really well … and it's a World Cup game. It's going to be a pressure game for all of us.
"As I keep saying, we can't take any team lightly – (we have to) play every single game as a final or a semi-final."
Mathews does however have confidence that his team can rediscover the formula that has helped them succeed in major tournaments in recent years.
He added: "We haven't played our best cricket yet. Regardless of the pitches and conditions, if we play our best cricket, if we play our unique type of cricket, we can win against any team.
"If we click as a group, I think we can do wonders. We just need to click."
