Jordan hopes to impress if given the chance

England fast bowler Chris Jordan is hopeful of a place in the third Test against India at the Rose Bowl next week, and is determined to impress if given the chance.
Jordan made his debut against Sri Lanka in the last series, and played in both Tests. He did very well in the first but was under whelming in the second, resulting in Ben Stokes' recall following injury.
But Stokes was unimpressive in the first two Tests against India, recording three ducks in a row and not bowling with much heat, so there is speculation that Jordan will get the game at the Rose Bowl on Sunday.
The Sussex paceman said: "The squad were always going to come into play because you're playing five test matches in six weeks and the guys are bowling a lot of overs as you saw.
"They had quite a flat pitch at Trent Bridge and then followed up by going straight into the field at Lord's and that's never easy on the body, but the guys are recovering well and looking after their bodies as good as possible so we just have to see how it goes.
"All the bowlers are bowling as best as they can be and the guys are doing well so you never know what the selectors have in mind, but as I said if I get the nod then I hope to make an impact.
"If I do get the nod then I'll be hoping to come in as I did this game and smash my areas hopefully be in a position to affect the game, but that's a little way off so we will see how we rock up on Sunday."
