Josh Hazlewood withdraws from IPL

Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has been withdrawn from this season's IPL competition as he manages his workload ahead of a busy international period for the Aussies, including an Ashes tour in July.
Hazlewood has become an important member of the Australia pace juggernaut, in both Test and ODI cricket, and he was part of the Aussies' starting team that won the World Cup on home soil last month.
The 24 year-old also made his Test debut in December last year against India, taking seven wickets, including five in the first innings, at the Gabba.
The right-arm bowler was supposed to join up with the Mumbai Indians, who are now coached by former Australia captain Ricky Ponting, but Cricket Australia thought it best that he recover from what has been a gruelling summer.
CA General Manager of Team Performance Pat Howard said: "Josh's workload has changed significantly since he first began attending the IPL.
"The IPL is the players leave period and in Josh's case it was deemed that not playing was the best use of that time in the lead up to a busy winter.
"This was agreed to with the IPL following discussions at the end of the Test Series."
