Junaid ruled out of NZ tour

Pakistan fast bowler Junaid Khan has been ruled out of the upcoming tour to New Zealand after suffering a stress fracture to his foot.
Junaid fractured his right foot playing for the Khulna Titans during the Bangladesh Premier League in November.
Chief selector Inzamam-ul-Haq should name the squads for the tour later this week with the injury thought to boost the chances of Mohammad Irfan and Sohail Khan.
It is unclear if Irfan will be considered with concerns over both his fitness and form after serving a one-year suspension for failing to report an approach to corrupt the game.

After a patchy start to his career Junaid established himself in the ODI side in 2017 playing 14 of 18 matches in the fifty over format.
Junaid was an integral part of the Pakistan pace attack that helped Mickey Arthur’s men lift the ICC Champions Trophy earlier this year.
Junaid is the second Pakistan paceman to go down with injury after Usman Shinwari suffered a stress fracture in his back last month.
Pakistan will tour New Zealand in January 2018 playing five ODIs and three T20Is between the sixth and twenty eighth of the month.
