Kallis appointed CPL side Trinbago’s mentor

Former South Africa all-rounder Jacques Kallis has added another mentorship role to his records after signing up with the Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League.
The franchise is owned by Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan, who also owns Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL, where Kallis is also a mentor. He is used to offer advice and coaching to young players.
"We are very glad to have the legend on-board in the TKR set-up as chief mentor and I look forward to working with him closely this year", said Simon Helmot, head coach of TKR.
Kallis played for the Kolkata franchise for three years before becoming their mentor in 2015, and played for the Trinbago side in last year's CPL, helping them to the title.
Kallis is considered the premier all-rounder in the world, having played for South Africa in all formats and scoring nearly 20,000 first class runs. He also took 427 first class wickets.
