Kleinveldt, Tsotsobe on the mend

South African seamers Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Rory Kleinveldt's recovery from ankle surgery and a knee injury respectively is proving promising.
South African seamers Lonwabo Tsotsobe and Rory Kleinveldt's recovery from ankle surgery and a knee injury respectively is proving promising.
Tsotsobe and Kleinveldt were not named in the Test or ODI squads for this month's tour of Sri Lanka, but are expected to return in August.
"We are under no illusion that it's a long season, the guys play cricket for almost 11 months of the year. It is important for us to find the balance of managing workloads of the players going into a new season," said team manager Mohammed Moosajee.
"Fortunately we've had a clean bill of health. Lonwabo has made a good recovery post-operation and is on track to being fully fit ahead of the tour to Zimbabwe, while Rory should start bowling in the next few weeks and will most likely tour with the South Africa A squad to Australia."
The Proteas will meet Sri Lanka for three ODIs and two Tests before going to Harare for a one-off Test against Zimbabwe – and tri-series with Australia. October will bring three ODIs in New Zealand before a home series against the West Indies in December.
