The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Board are expected to retain former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener as head coach for the 2014-15 season.
The KwaZulu-Natal Cricket Board are expected to retain former South African all-rounder Lance Klusener as head coach for the 2014-15 season.
Klusener's led the Durban-based franchise through a relatively successful string of results this year.
The Dolphins finished third in the country's premier first-class competition, second – and one the T20 Challenge.
The latter result brought qualification for the lucrative Champions League Twenty20.
"We expect to reach an agreement in the quickest time possible. Lance has a contract up to 2015, so the only thing we are discussing is beyond then," KZN Cricket Board chairperson Graham Abraham told the Sunday Independent.
"We are not even worried about the coming season, because he is under contract with us."
The Titans and Lions represented South Africa at the lucrative CLT20 competition last year, when the Mumbai Indians beat the Rajasthan Royals in the final to take the coveted title.
