Mashrafe pleased India will bring full-strength team

Bangladesh ODI captain Mashrafe Mortaza is pleased that India have selected their first-choice players for the tour to their Asian neighbours that starts in June.

India will play the Tigers in one Test and three ODI's and it was thought that they would give some of their star players like Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni a rest after what has been a long and gruelling last 12 months.

However the Indian selectors have shown their neighbours the necessary respect and selected all the regulars in both squads with veteran spinner Harbhajan Singh earning a recall to the Test side.

India's leading wicket-taker at the World Cup, Mohammad Shami, will miss the tour with a knee injury and his place has been taken by seamer Dhawal Kulkarni, who has been impressive in the IPL.

Mashrafe said: "Everyone had been hoping for their best team. We knew any India team would be a challenge. As it's their full team, the challenge is even greater.

"The ODI squad is quite identical to the World Cup's. Only (Mohammad) Shami isn't there due to injury. Their batting is undoubtedly the world's No.1. It will be a huge challenge for our bowlers.

"There is always an extra pressure if the full team doesn't come. At least the question won't be asked this time. We will have the motivation to play well. They played in the World Cup semi-finals – it is their best team. The job is very difficult for us."
